Physician’s Who Privately Contract
This web site is intended to be a resource for patients who seek the services of medical doctors and other providers who offer private contracting as an option to obtain healthcare services. Private Health Care Contracts.com also promulgates the privilege of private contracting in health care. Private contracting in health care is no different then a private contract for other services. One party agrees to purchase services (the patient) and a second party agrees to provide them (the doctor or healthcare provider).
It is ALREADY ILLEGAL to privately contract for healthcare if you have Medicare. What makes you sure you will be able to privately contract under a new government sponsored program?
Government is constantly telling us that we need national health care to control cost. They argue that if we all belonged to one buying pool (the government's) costs would come down. Since when has the cost of anything the government has done brought down cost? If the end game is to regulate costs, then why does the government need national health care anyway? All that is required is national price control. This is already effectively done through Medicare. What they really mean is they want to both regulate price and access. By reducing access, they can then reduce total costs.
One of the major goals of national health legislation is to cover the 40 million uninsured. But just who are these uninsured? One third of them earn more then $50,000 per year and choose not to buy health coverage of any kind. One third of them just don't want health insurance at any price. They simply don't condiser it a necessity. An additional twenty percent of them are illegal immigrants. So if the goal is to reduce cost, then why aren't we trying to cover those who still fall through the current safety net and want coverage instead of trying to insure so many that dont want to be covered to begin with?
How will making everyone who dosen't want to be covered increase access and reduce costs? Recently Governor Mitt Romney publically declared that the Massachusetts program which did force everyone into coverage has failed. It both raised costs and reduced access.
So why don't we ever hear this discussion from our leader's in Washington, DC? The reason is because it' is not about access or cost. It is about government control of your health care. Now ask yourself again, exactly what makes you so sure you will be able to privately contract under a government sponsored health program?

After the “Kyl Opt Out” bill became law (January 1, 1998) the federal courts ruled in a case brought forth by USA Seniors that American citizens do NOT have the right to privately contract, but are rather granted the privilege to do so (and only under special circumstances). For example, if you have Medicare you are not allowed to purchase services rendered from your doctor unless that doctor files an affidavit with the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMMS) that states he will not file or accept any payment, on any Medicare patient, for any service, for the next two years.
While this may vary from state to state, another example is the worker’s compensation system. In many states injured workers are not allowed to choose a physician or to privately pay for services if they are covered by worker’s compensation. Often this restriction is legislated such that the doctor is not allowed to file insurance (other then worker’s compensation insurance) if that patient is covered under the worker’s compensations system.
With all of the talk (and action) of increased Federal government intrusion into the health care market, many Americans are concerned that the privilege to privately contract for any medical service (irrespective of the presence or absence of a third party payment contract such as private health insurance) will be lost. It is the mission of this site to increase awareness among doctors, healthcare providers and patients of the importance to fight for the privilege to private contract for health care services.
To that end this registry has been created. Doctors or other healthcare providers who wish to list their name may do so by using this link: REGISTER.
